OHIO (WJW) – Republican Josh Mandel, who is running for the US Senate in Ohio, calls on Governor Mike DeWine to immediately withdraw the statewide mask mandate.
According to a tweet, Mandel, who is a Navy veteran and former state treasurer, is also asking that all restrictions on businesses be removed as well.
He also called on DeWine to demand that all schools open for in-person instruction and to “reopen Ohio so our businesses and communities can thrive.”
“The people of Ohio have been suffering for almost a year because of misinformation from Amy Acton, Anthony Fauci and Mike DeWine, who thought they were better equipped to make decisions than moms and kids. dads, small business owners and religious leaders. Today, we demand that Governor DeWine remove all restrictions on the people of Ohio and allow our families and communities to make decisions without the heavy hand of government no longer crippling their freedoms. ”
Last month, Mandel announced a third candidacy for the U.S. Senate in Ohio, taking a pro-Trump message in an offer for the seat being released by Rob Portman of the GOP.
Mandel was the first Ohio state official to back Trump in 2016 and raised $ 500,000 for him in 2020, he said. His campaign will focus on the common themes of economic freedom, individual freedom and the America First agenda.
“When I go to Washington, I’m going to go there to pulverize the uni-party,” he said. “The uni-party is what I call that bunch of Democrats and Republicans who sound exactly the same and are more interested in being invited to the cocktail party circuit than standing up for the Constitution.”
