The Rock and Roll Coffee Company, Mullumbimby, proudly presents the first in a series, showcasing original music and visual art. “Something About Songwriters” is an intimate celebration of the truth and pleasure we find in each other by sharing an artistic space.
Beloved vocalist Rebecca Ireland takes us on a sweet lyrical and rhythmic ride with acoustic renditions of her most recent work, Roadside Flowers, to tracks from her debut album, Love & Sticky Tape and beyond.
Marika Bryant of ABC Arts Hub said, “Rebecca’s poetic and lyrical take on life is quirky and poignant.”
The other artists of the day will be Jessie Rose and Matt Day who are Broadwaters. Travel through varied landscapes of well-crafted songs, intricate fingerstyle guitar and storytelling in velvet harmonies; a match made in heaven.
Katie Grubb is a rising local artist who has already captured the hearts of Chinese people with her biophilic and colorful works. Katie’s latest series explored chaos theory and the limitless potential of uncertainty, and will be featured.
The Rock and Roll team will deliver their vibrant Pan-Asian cuisine with a nighttime twist; and their bar will offer you cocktails, beers, wines, hot drinks and sweets. Delicious times.
