Diane Warren, songwriter extraordinary, rescued a cow from mortal danger in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Why did she do that, do that, do that, do that? Warren has been a dedicated vegetarian for years. “This is not the first cow I save. But it looks like a special cow. Because that was the one. So it’s almost as if she represents all the cows that want to be free, ”she said in Billboard.
The cow escaped as part of a larger herd in Los Angeles on June 22. According to KTLA, one of them was shot dead by the police. The remaining 38 cows or so were captured that day. But a cow was still on the run, swearing “You haven’t seen the end of me.” Warren saw the lonely cow on the news and thought, “How can I live without saving this cow?” “
Warren negotiated the release of the cow with the owner of the abattoir alongside Pico Rivera City Manager Steve Carmona. She saved all her tears to plead with the owner of the slaughterhouse, who said the cow’s ultimate fate depended on a state farm health check.
Warren has ties to an animal sanctuary, and after the wranglers finally grabbed the animal, she used her power of persuasion to get it sent to Farm Sanctuary in north Los Angeles. “Nothing will stop us now,” she almost certainly whispered to the cow.
