Singer-songwriter Brian Kennedy reveals he’s been fighting Covid-19 for 10 days
Singer-songwriter Brian Kennedy has revealed he’s been battling Covid-19 for 10 days.
The popular singer (53) took to his official Instagram page to reveal he took a short walk outside on Thursday after his positive diagnosis.
He posted: “First day for a short walk after 10 days of isolation since my positive Covid diagnosis.
“No baby. Even though I was doubly vaccinated, it was a tough journey. Jesus. Imagine if I didn’t have the jabs. Unthinkable! I still have miles to go. Thank you for your help.”
Well-known friends including model Yvonne Connolly and former RTÉ presenter Mary Kennedy were quick to wish her luck.
Ms Connolly, the former wife of the former Westlife leader said: “Ah Brian… I didn’t know that. My poor. Glad to know you’re on your feet. I send you a lot of love xx.
Ms Kennedy added, “My God Brian, I’m so sorry to hear that you’re not doing well. Take good care. Hope you will be much better soon.
The Belfast native’s latest health decline comes after he was declared cancer-free last year after suffering a four-year battle with colorectal cancer in 2016.
He underwent major surgery and chemotherapy and was unable to walk for some time.
The Crazy Love singer had to have his colon, rectum and prostate removed, resulting in two bags, a colostomy and a urostomy, attached to his stomach for the rest of his life.
