LUST, brb., Oh, Flamingo! and more at the ASEAN Music Showcase Festival 2021
Southeast Asian Proceedings LUST, brb., Oh, Flamingo! and others will perform at the second edition of the ASEAN Music Showcase festival.
Yesterday (August 10), the announcement of the event’s artist lineup revealed that 28 promising artists from seven participating countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam – have joined the list.
From September 11 to 12, the ASEAN Music Showcase 2021 festival will be broadcast live via YouTube. See the program announcement below.
Indonesian artists include the Eleventh indie-math rock quartet, synth-pop group Guernica Club, tropical pop duo Irama Pantai Selatan, and indie pop group Sunwich. Meanwhile, indie rock band LUST, punk band NO GOOD, neo-psychedelic pop / rock band Ramayan, and multi-trait artist Shelhiel make up the Malaysian slate.
Join the indie rock band Oh, Flamingo! to represent the Philippines, instrumental rock soloist Gabba, DJ / producer Pamcy and live electronic music duo Tarsius. R&B trio brb. will be joined by two other Singapore-based groups: indie rock band M1LDL1FE and electronica duo .gif.
Hailing from Thailand, R&B singer-songwriter Alec Orachi, Thai folk-pop group ASIA7, hip-hop artist Réjizz and rave n ‘roll group SOLE will also perform at the concert online.
This will be the first time artists from Cambodia and Vietnam will join the showcase, along with featured artists Laura Mam, Daniel Omens, Sophia Kao, VannDa, Limebócx, Ngầm, Tiny Giant and Những Đứa Trẻ (The Children).
