A24 continues their streak of offbeat indie horror with indie rock darlings Phoebe Bridgers and Snail Mail, whom they’ve enlisted to appear in a new movie. They will join Limp Biztkit frontman Fred Durst in I saw the TV shine directed by Jane Schoenbrun.
I saw the TV shine stars Justice Smith and Bridgette Lundy-Paine as two teenagers so obsessed with a scary TV show that they begin to question the line between TV and reality.
“I’m honored beyond belief to announce that I’m starring in fucking genius Jane Schoenbrun’s new movie, I Saw The TV Glow,” Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan wrote on Instagram.
Director Jane Schoenbrun is no stranger to musical acts in her films. His debut in 2021 We’re all going to the world’s fair boasted a soundtrack by Alex G.
Metal band King Woman will also appear in the film. Along with the musical names, Helena Howard, Danielle Deadwyler, Amber Benson, Ian Foreman, Michael Maronna, Conner O’Malley, Emma Portner, and Danny Tamberelli also appear in the film, which recently wrapped production.
