Gojira + Randy Blythe perform ‘Adoration for None’ for the first time
For the very first time, Gojira dusted off “Adoration for None” and performed it live with guest singer Randy Blythe. The Lamb of God frontman lent his voice to the original recording of the brutal track, which appeared on Gojira’s 2008 album, The path of all flesh.
Gojira had never performed “Adoration for None” live before last night’s concert (November 1) in Blythe’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia. Although Blythe joined Gojira on stage a few times at various festivals, they still played “Backbone” together instead of their actual collaboration – “Adoration for None”.
“They took me to France and recorded this thing and now, for the first time, we’re bringing it home here,” Blythe told the crowd. “We had a wonderful time together, we wrote and recorded this song together. It has never been played live before.

As for Gojira’s latest album, Courage, Randy Blythe had very kind words for the record right after its release. “Courage, Gojira’s seventh studio offering, manages to do what very few metal albums do: without sacrificing a single ounce of mind-boggling heaviness. The album goes beyond the often self-imposed constraints of the genre into something completely different. The Heavy Metal Palette is used to build something more than metal: a beautiful, dense, sonorous painting of life itself.
