Cassia shares her new single ‘Vitamins’
The cheerful trio of Northerners known as Cassia have shared a brand new track, ‘Vitamins’, from their upcoming EP Magnifying glass.
A supremely funky slice of indie rock, “Vitamins” is an ode to established routines, ones that become so intoxicating it’s impossible to do without.
“It’s about being in a long-distance relationship and having strangely programmed calls that become an unavoidable solution, almost like a drug,” says singer Rob Ellis. “Distance can spark all kinds of uncertainty and fear, but knowing the next call is around is like a supplement of the vitamins you need to get through the day, like a good Berocca.”
The “ Vitamins ” video apparently contains Easter eggs that fans can spot. I’m new to the Cassia experience, so if a more seasoned veteran of the band wants to fill in the blanks, feel free to do so in the comments below.
“We feel like we’ve been on such a crazy journey over the last couple of years,” Ellis continues, speaking now of the song’s video. “The group has taken us to many places and through countless experiences with amazing people. We wanted to fill the video with the moments that we think best mark the different chapters, from venues in Macclesfield where we played our very first concerts, to memorabilia on tour and also some of our favorite places in Berlin (where we now live. ). We hope that everyone who has been with us along the way will be able to gain something from this. “
