Alliance for the Arts in partnership with the Americana Community Music Association (ACMA) is delighted to present “Songwriters in the Round.” Performers include Kim Mayfield, Marie Nofsinger and Tim McGeary. The outdoor concert will take place on our Greenmarket Stage, November 20, from 3-5pm.
Kim Mayfield is best known as one half of the American duo known as the Reckless Saints. Critics have described her music as “pearly and sashaying”, “pleasantly evoking the legendary Tammy Wynette”, and “haunted by Patsy Cline”. Mayfield’s Song, “Ring Around the Moon”, made her a semi-finalist of the 2019 International Songwriting Competition.
Known as the outlaw songwriter, award-winning songwriter, national touring performer and recording artist Marie Nofsinger will take you on a journey into the soul of America. Singing melodies, swampy beats, as well as jazzy swing tunes carry the lyrics to your memory.
Tim McGeary has lived in Naples, Florida for 20 years and has been writing and performing songs since the 80s. While with The Rescues (A&M Records) he toured with Billy Idol, Roxy Music, Depeche Mode , The Cure and many more. Recently, McGeary landed a publishing deal in Nashville as a songwriter. His songs have been featured on TV shows “Smallville” “A Hill of Trees” and “Glory day.”
